redneck?

I bought Sylvie this take top because it was white- so I wouldn't have to worry about matching early in the morning- and because it was cute- of course.
I put it on her with shorts and was very disappointed to see that it looked like a wifebeater.

When she came home from daycare with carrot stains on it....all she needed as a can of apple juice and she would be right at redneck.

Sylvie can make anything cute though.

Congrats to Heather and Nate!

Emersen was born on Wednesday June 24. I got to meet her last night - I was only there for about an hour but she was calm and sleeping. I was dying to hold her but I guess that will have to wait until she is awake. I cannot wait for her and Sylvie to meet.

Wedding!

I photographed a wedding! I hope that I did okay. It was Heather G's uncles wedding- Thanks to Heather G for gettin' me some work!

The Groom is a wine connoisseur so at the rehearsal dinner on Saturday night there were a lot of wine bottles being opened. I am sorry that I was working...I think he had some great stuff in his cellar.

Mary Kay was his beautiful bride. Her family was wonderful! Everyone there treated me like family and there were so fun to be around. I really enjoyed her parents:

A baby Shower!

Heather M and I threw a shower for Heather G last weekend. It was so much fun! I love seeing all the baby stuff and I am really excited to meet Camryn!
Little did we know this was 4 days before HLM's baby day.



We are all having (have) girls and I am so happy they all get to get to grow up together.
H & H were such a great support to me when I had Sylvie and was pregnant that I can only hope I can do the same for them!

Sylvie can Crawl!

Her nickname was scooter- now I think we have to change it to gimpy. She is crawling. Most of the time it is an odd crawl though. You can see in this picture- she keeps her left leg infront of her, bent. She will then crawl, 'normally', with her right leg- knee on the ground. She pulls with her left leg and pushes with her right. Very occasionally she will do a full fledged baby crawl- I think the first time was tonight! She will get there!

Tonight we also learned how to give 5- or give me some skin. She is definitely a smart girl ( she could play peek a boo by herself at about four months old!) but it looks like she will be very unique and do things her own way.

It Happened Overnight

I feel like Sylvie just grew up overnight. One day she is barely moving and I am getting more and more worried about her immobiltiy, and the next day she is scooting around on her butt like nobody's business (she still will not dirty her knees up and crawl). She has also learned to pull herself up on our coffee table, she has learned that there is something (glass) seperating the yard from our family room -and she cannot get through it, she has learned that she can close teh door to Addy's cage, and she has learned that when she wakes up from her nap- she can sit up and play with her mobile.

I feel like all these things happened in one day!
And it sure had been a busy two days.
Last night was the start of her mobility. She loves the coffee table. We will have to move everything off it very soon.
This looks like a yoga pose.
She also grabs her tummy a lot. It looks like she has a six pack here. Six pack of formula.

Ralph and I wanted pictures of Sylvie giving us hugs. Look how much happier she looks when she is hugging mommy! I wonder if this is because she is looking at daddy though....

What a long and eventful day.
Ralph and I also painted our plastic back yard chairs. I am so glad there is now a spray paint for plastics!
Tomorrow will only be more busy. I am going to Paula's baby shower, then leaving for Orlando at 7pm! I will sure miss my family, esp. Sylvie in her polka dot pj's.

the things we are proud off.....

Ralph and I frequent our local bar and grill - Taco Mac- at least once a month.
Okay- once a week.
Tonight was a very special visit. Ralph received his Taco Mac jacket for drinking 325 different beers. Sylvie and I were so proud (embarrassed) when Ralph wore his new winter jacket out of the restaurant on a hot summer June night.
As you can see on his list below- his next reward is Grand Poobah. He will get this 'award' when he has had 1000 different beers.
I believe that Ralph started this club right before we got married. And it has only grown since we have had Sylvie. Are Sylvie and I driving him to the drink??
I must say that I have a few over 150 beers on my club card. It is minimal compared to my husband.
